Cape Harbour is a custom home design for the bachelor way of life. An avid boater and fisherman; this client needed a vacation home to entertain family and clients. Easy care and maintenance were key to suite his lifestyle. Designing with a masculine color palette of greys and navy blues provides a slightly nautical feeling which captures his passions. Porcelain wood tile planks in a grey wash finish throughout the house provide easy care for the homeowner. The bimini style architecture on the outside provided inspiration for the inside of this home. The open style kitchen features white painted cabinets with a grey glaze and quartz countertops. The backsplash is a glass wavy subway tile which brings the color tones out of the countertops. The outer island in the kitchen was designed to be a bar table complete with plug ins for his contemporary guest’s devices. Being and avid griller, the outdoor BBQ grill area was a must. Custom designed stainless fish sculptures represent the catches he sets out on his boat to conquer. The outdoor area is designed for entertaining and features bar top tables, a sit up bar, fire pit and plenty of deck space for games. His master suite is a retreat after long days on the water. Black out blinds and comfortable masculine bedding create a quiet space to unwind. The master bath features a large soaking tub and open shower area. Large abstract 12 x 24 tiles are used as a backdrop and feature. This home provides that getaway from the harsh northern winters and oasis which he requested.
